New York also hit nine in its second game of the year, a 20-9 victory over Milwaukee on March 29 at Yankee Stadium.

8/20 1:08 AM Chad Patrick (P-MIL) Brewers Drop DH at Chicago. CHICAGO, Ill (WSAU) — The Chicago Cubs dumped the Milwaukee Brewers twice on Tuesday, 6-4 and 4-1 at Wrigley Field. Milwaukee has now dropped three out of the last four games after winning 14 games in a row. In game one, the Brewers fell behind 5-0 before pulling to within one in the 6th. That was as close as they got. Chad Patrick started and gave up five runs (3 earned) in five innings. Christian Yelich hit his 26th home run. Sal Frelick drove in gtwo runs and Brice Turang had an RBI. In game two Milwaukee managed only one run against Cub starter Jameson Tallion. Andrew Vaughn had the RBI. Right-hander Johan Oviedo will get another chance to stick in Pittsburgh's rotation on Wednesday afternoon when he makes his second start of the season for the host Pirates against the Toronto Blue Jays. Oviedo (0-0, 18.00 ERA) will oppose Toronto right-hander Chris Bassitt (11-6, 4.22) in the decisive game of a three-game series. It will be Oviedo's first start since Aug. 4 when he made a brief return to the majors after sitting out more than a year following Tommy John surgery. Oviedo pitched only one inning against the San Francisco Giants that day and struggled, throwing 43 pitches and allowing two runs on two hits and three walks despite striking out three.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are trying to regain the lead in the NL West that they once held. At one point, the Dodgers were nine games ahead of the San Diego Padres. The bullpen has been struggling significantly, and there is little faith it can turn things around quickly. The bullpen has faced some costly injuries recently, including the big addition from the trade deadline, Brock Stewart.
